Ask code questions on your own AI key

6 min · Connect your own key, ask a code question, and see on the receipt that it ran on your key.

1. Open the page where you connect AI keys and add a key from an AI company you already use. Klarwolf tests it with the provider before saving it.
2. Klarwolf stores the key encrypted and shows only its last 4 characters. Disconnecting deletes it.
3. Ask a code question. In Auto it goes to the code lane; open “Why this answer” to see the lane, the AI and the cost.
4. Remember a chat subscription (ChatGPT Plus, Claude’s paid plans, Perplexity Pro) is not an API key and cannot be connected. Never paste a key into a question.
