Getting started

What Klarwolf is and how to begin.

What is Klarwolf?

Klarwolf sends each question to the AI that fits it, searches the web first when the question needs today's facts, and shows you a receipt on every answer: who answered, which model, why that AI, what memory it used, how sure it is, what it cost and what it saved. It keeps a memory of you and your business that you can see, correct, download and delete.

How do I get started?

Use Get started on klarwolf.com, create an account with your email, and ask your first question. Before the first question Klarwolf tells you which AI companies may receive it and sends nothing until you agree. If sign-up asks for an invite, join the waitlist; people are let in a few at a time so each one can reach a person when they need help.

Related:

Do I need an invite?

Klarwolf is open for early testing. When self-serve sign-up is on, an email is all you need. When it is off, the waitlist on klarwolf.com/receipt is the way in, and a friend can also share a Pack Pass link that opens the door.

Related:

Last checked Oct 29, 2026

Is it free to try?

There is a free plan, and the plans page shows exactly what it includes and what a paid plan adds. A Pack Pass from a friend can earn both of you a free month once the friend has used Klarwolf on two different days.

Who is Klarwolf for?

People and small businesses who use AI for real work and want to know which AI answered, why, and what it cost: owners, operators, consultants, writers, researchers and developers. It also suits anyone who is tired of keeping several AI subscriptions and a different memory in each.

Who makes Klarwolf?

WolfpackFront LLC, a Wolfpack company. Klarwolf is not affiliated with Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, Perplexity or xAI; it connects to their AIs and says so before it sends your first question.

How answers work

The receipt, sources and follow-ups.

What is the receipt under each answer?

"Why this answer" shows who answered, which model, why that AI was picked, what memory it used, how sure Klarwolf is, what the answer cost and what it saved compared with a named model. It is printed from what Klarwolf actually did for that answer, not a general description.

Related:

Last checked Oct 29, 2026

How does Klarwolf say what it saved me?

The receipt compares what the answer cost with what the same answer would have cost on a model it names, such as "saved 3Β’ vs Claude Fable". The monthly savings statement adds those up. Costs and savings vary by question, and the comparison model is always named so you can judge it.

Does Klarwolf search the web, and does it show sources?

When a question needs current facts ("right now", "today", "latest", a price), Klarwolf runs one web search first and reads the top results; a link you paste is read too. Sources sit above the answer and every [1] [2] in the text is a link to its source. Quick questions that do not need the web are answered without a search, which keeps the cost down.

Related:

Last checked Oct 29, 2026

Does it suggest follow-up questions?

Yes. Under each answer Klarwolf offers three: one to go deeper, one to look wider and one to put the answer to work.

Related:

Last checked Oct 29, 2026

What if an answer is wrong?

Mark it Not right. Every AI in Klarwolf then remembers the correction, and your rating counts toward which AI is picked for that kind of question. Klarwolf does not claim its answers are accurate: AI can be wrong, so check anything that matters against the sources it shows.

Can I get a second opinion from a different AI?

Yes. Ask for a second opinion and a different AI answers the same question, or use Council to have two to four AIs answer and read one summary of where they agree and differ.

AIs and models

Which AIs, how one is picked, how to choose.

Which AIs and models can I use?

Klarwolf connects to 12 AI companies. Models it knows today (this list is read from the product, so it changes when the lineup does) β€” Anthropic (Claude): Claude Fable 5.1, Claude Opus 5.5, Claude Sonnet 5.5, Claude Haiku 5.5. OpenAI (GPT): GPT-6 Astra, GPT-6.1 Sol, GPT-6 Luna. Google (Gemini): Gemini 4 Argon, Gemini 3.5 Flash-Lite, Gemini 3.8 Flash. xAI (Grok): Grok Build, Grok 4.3, Grok 4.7. How does Klarwolf pick the AI for a question?

It sorts the question (quick, writing, code, deep thinking, live information or advice). In Auto it picks the lowest-cost AI it rates within one point of its top-rated AI for that kind of question. The ratings are Klarwolf's own judgment, set by hand and adjusted by people's πŸ‘/πŸ‘Ž, not an independent benchmark, and the receipt tells you the reason for every pick.

Related:

Last checked Oct 29, 2026

Can I choose the AI myself?

Yes. Leave it on Auto, or pick the top-rated AI, the lowest-cost one, up to three AIs side by side, or one AI you name. The receipt shows what each choice cost.

Related:

How quickly do new AI models show up?

A new model appears once Klarwolf has rated and priced it, so people see a cost and a reason with it. Models a company releases that Klarwolf does not know yet are not used for you until then. The "What's new" list on this page records each change with its date.

Related:

Memory

What Klarwolf remembers and who controls it.

What does Klarwolf remember about me?

Short things you tell it about yourself and your business ("remember that we ship from Portland, Maine") or add by hand. Klarwolf sends the relevant ones to whichever AI answers, and the answer says when it used them. It skips anything that looks like a password or key. Memory is kept in five kinds so a preference never gets mixed up with a fact.

Related:

Last checked Oct 29, 2026

Can I see, fix, download or delete my memory?

Yes, all four. The Memory tab lists everything Klarwolf remembers with a Forget button on each, you can correct any item, and your brain page shows everything it holds about you, conversations included, to see, delete or download. You also choose which AIs may read your memory.

Related:

Last checked Oct 29, 2026

Can I bring my ChatGPT or Claude history?

Yes. Import your ChatGPT or Claude history and you pick what to keep; nothing sensitive is brought over without your choice.

Related:

Last checked Oct 29, 2026

Is there an incognito mode?

Yes. Turn on Incognito for a new conversation and your memory stays out of it and nothing said in it is learned. It is labelled Incognito and is still saved in your History, so you can find it again; there is no automatic 24-hour delete yet.

Related:

Features

Research, Council, Projects, files, tasks and more.

What is Research mode?

The Research button runs four to six searches at once, reads up to 20 sources and writes one cited report, for about 8Β’ a report. It is on paid plans with daily caps, and every claim links to its source.

Related:

Last checked Oct 29, 2026

What is Council?

Council asks two to four AIs the same question and gives you one summary of where they agree and where they differ.

Related:

What are Projects?

A Project is a folder with its own instructions, a memory note and up to 10 kept documents; answers inside it follow them. Sharing a Project with a team is not available yet.

Related:

Last checked Oct 29, 2026

Can I attach files and photos?

Yes: documents up to 3 MB, photos and scanned PDFs up to 20 pages. An attachment goes to the AI you pick to answer that question and follow-ups (kept for five of them) and is not stored by Klarwolf. Larger files, audio and video are not supported yet.

Related:

Can I share an answer?

Yes, as an unlisted link you can revoke. It shows the question, the answer and its sources, never your memory, other conversations, routing or cost. Klarwolf asks before sharing anything that looks like an email address or phone number, never shares anything that looks like a password or key, and links end after 30 days unless you end them sooner.

Related:

Last checked Oct 29, 2026

Can I publish an answer as a web page?

Yes. "Publish as a page" rewrites a conversation into an article with a title, sections and numbered sources at an unlisted klarwolf.com link. It uses one AI call, shows the estimated cost (roughly 7 to 15 cents) before you publish, never includes memory or files, and you can list it on the web, get a new link or unpublish from Settings.

Related:

Can Klarwolf answer a question again on a schedule?

Yes. Save a question to be answered every day, every week on a weekday or every month. Each task has its own monthly cost cap, so a scheduled question can never run up a bill. "Ask me later" queues a question to be answered thoroughly overnight.

Related:

Does Klarwolf have voice?

Partly. Use the mic in the message box to speak your question, and Talk mode reads answers aloud with your browser's own voice. A more natural assistant voice is not available yet.

What is the daily Discover feed?

What is a Pack Pass?

A link you share (klarwolf.com/p/your-code) that opens the door for a friend. When your friend has used Klarwolf on two different days within 14 days, or pays, you both earn a month of the Klarwolf plan. Klarwolf never messages anyone for you: every share is a link you send yourself.

Plans and billing

What it costs and how to pay.

How much does Klarwolf cost?

Klarwolf Bring your own is $9.99 a seat a month and you bring your own AI keys. Klarwolf is $19.99 a seat a month and Klarwolf pays the AI bills up to an included amount. The plans page lists every plan, what each includes and the add-ons.

Related:

Last checked Oct 29, 2026

What are the add-ons?

Some AIs cost Klarwolf more to run than the everyday models, so they are switches you add: top models (the Frontier add-on), Grok and Perplexity. The plans page lists each add-on and its price once prices are published, and pack members get a discount on extras.

Related:

Last checked Oct 29, 2026

Can I use my own API keys?

Yes. Connect keys from 12 AI companies, including Anthropic, OpenAI and Google, and those answers are billed to your account by the company, not to Klarwolf. Klarwolf tests a key with the provider before saving it, stores it encrypted, shows only its last 4 characters and deletes it when you disconnect. A chat subscription (ChatGPT Plus, Claude's paid plans, Perplexity Pro) is not an API key and cannot be connected.

Related:

Last checked Oct 29, 2026

How do I pay, change plan or cancel?

Stripe handles payments, and Klarwolf never sees your full card number. Plan changes and cancellation are in your account's plan settings; if something does not look right, write to us and a person will fix it.

Related:

Can an AI bill surprise me?

On Klarwolf's keys, each plan has an AI budget that caps what Klarwolf spends on AI per person. Scheduled tasks have their own caps, Research has daily caps, and the receipt shows each answer's cost as it happens. On your own keys, your provider bills you at its published per-use prices.

Apps and devices

Web, phone and desktop.

Where can I use Klarwolf?

On the web at klarwolf.com, in any modern browser, and installed as an app: Chrome and Edge on PC and Mac, Safari "Add to Dock", and the iPhone, iPad and Android home screen. The same account works everywhere. Mac and Windows desktop apps are built but not offered for download yet; the installed web app does the same.

Is there a coding extension?

Not open to customers yet. Klarwolf Code, a coding screen where Klarwolf picks Claude Code or Codex and the model for the job, is in development, and so are a program that pairs your Mac with it and a Klarwolf extension for VS Code and Cursor (being prepared for the VS Code Marketplace and Open VSX). None of them is in a store or generally available today; write to us if you want early access.

Can my team use Klarwolf?

Teams can each have an account today, and team plans are listed on the plans page. Not available yet: team memory, per-person spend limits, single sign-on (SSO), admin controls, an allowed-AI list. If one of those decides it for you, write to us and say which; that is how we decide what to build next.

Is my company's data kept separate from other companies?

Yes. Each company is its own workspace, and what one company stores is not shown to another. If you connect your company's SharePoint, it is read-only, limited to the site your Microsoft admin grants, indexed only into your own workspace and never pooled with other companies, and answers cite the documents used.

Developers

Your own keys and coding tools.

How does the routing work, for someone who wants to check it?

Each question is classified into a lane (quick, writing, code, deep thinking, live or advice). Each AI has a 1 to 5 rating per lane and a published per-token price. In Auto, Klarwolf takes the lowest-cost AI within one point of the top rating for that lane; an exact tie goes to a different AI from question to question and to the same AI for the same question. The receipt prints the lane, the pick and the reason, so you can audit any answer.

What is Klarwolf built on?

A Next.js and React web app on Vercel with Supabase for accounts and data, Stripe for payments and a provider-agnostic AI layer that routes to Anthropic, OpenAI, Google and others. Model choice lives in data rather than code, so adding a model is a rating and a price, not a rewrite.

Privacy and your data

What is kept, who sees it, how to delete it.

Where do my questions go?

To the AI provider that answers: one you connected with your own key, one you pick, or, on a plan where Klarwolf pays for the AI, one Klarwolf picks using its own account. Each provider handles your question under its own terms. Klarwolf tells you which AI companies may receive your questions before the first one and sends nothing until you agree. Klarwolf does not sell personal information.

Related:

How do I delete my account and data?

In the app: Settings, then Delete your account. On the web: Settings, then Privacy & data. Either deletes your account at once, with your questions and answers, what Klarwolf remembers and your connected AI keys. Team accounts are removed by the team's admin; write to us if you need help.

What is the Wolfpack Universe, and can I opt out?

On a personal account, a general answer (one that used none of your memories or files, with nothing personal in it, and that you did not mark wrong) can be shared without your name, so the next person asking the same thing gets it. It is on unless you switch it off, with one switch.

Why Klarwolf

What is different, and how to check it yourself.

Why choose Klarwolf over using ChatGPT, Claude or Perplexity directly?

Four differences you can check yourself. One: every answer comes with a receipt (who answered, which model, why, what it cost and what it saved). Two: one place and one memory for Claude, ChatGPT and Gemini, so you stop re-explaining yourself to each. Three: your memory is yours: see it, fix it, download it, delete it and choose which AIs may read it. Four: you can use your own API keys. Klarwolf makes no speed or accuracy claims against any of them: those are unmeasured, and the receipt lets you judge each answer yourself.

Related:

Last checked Oct 29, 2026

How is Klarwolf different from Perplexity?

Both search the web and cite sources. Klarwolf also routes each question across AI companies and prints a receipt with the reason for the pick, the cost and the saving; as of 26 Oct 2026 we found no description of those in Perplexity's own help pages. Klarwolf lets you use your own API keys; Perplexity's docs do not describe that. Perplexity is the stronger choice if you want its own search index and browser. We have not run a speed or quality comparison and do not claim one.

How is Klarwolf different from ChatGPT Plus?

ChatGPT answers with OpenAI's models; Klarwolf sends each question to the AI that fits it, from several companies, and prints a receipt for the pick and the cost. ChatGPT Plus is a flat subscription, while Klarwolf on your own keys is billed per use by each provider, which can cost less for light use and more for heavy use. ChatGPT is the stronger choice if you only need OpenAI's own tools.

How is Klarwolf different from Claude?

Claude is one AI company's assistant, and Claude is inside Klarwolf. Klarwolf adds routing across companies, the receipt, and a memory every AI shares. If you only ever want Claude, using Claude directly is simpler.
